Chiangmai Night Safari
Chiangmai is know as the ‘Rose of the North’ of Thailand which is a
high potential in variety of tourist destination. There are numerous
areas of tourist attractions, but most of them are only for day
time. Then, the government has complied the policy to promote
tourism industries which produce will generate income for country
and it wanted Chiangmai to be the alternative for tourists during
the night time also, and thus the Chiangmai Night Safari has been
established under that policy and will lead it to be a world class
destination, also will be preserving in character of traditional
Thai Lanna culture.
Chiangmai Night Safari is the first night zoo in Thailand, for those
who visit here can study about reservation and nature, so it is not
only the zoo but will be an education center for students and
tourists also.
For
exhibition, it has animal exhibition that is zoned into 3 areas such
as Jaguar Trail; this zone is 1.2 kilometers distance for relaxing
and walking to take time about? 1 hours both day and night time
available. Savanna Safari and Predator Prowl; the zone have to get
the reserved tram that to provided at the separated station into the
zone, so it is on night time only.
Besides, there is service center with facilities such as Restaurant,
Souvenir Shop, OTOP Shop, Photo Corner, Fun Plaza and Parking Area
for having, shopping, funning and parking.
Its
operating hours is Day time: Monday to Friday is started at 1 pm – 4
pm and Saturday to Sunday is started at 10 am – 4 pm. For Night time
is opened daily at 6 pm – 12 midnight.
How to
get there: By car along Huaykaew Road, turn left to state highway
No. 121 to Hang Dong District and turn right to the road about 2
kilometers.
